Revelations 2:9,10b

I know about your suffering and poverty- but you are rich! I know the blasphemy of those opposing you. They say they are Jews, but they are not, because their synagogue belongs to Satan.
You will suffer for 10 days.
Revelations 2:9,10b

During my condensed quiet time (ugh!) I fell upon this scripture. How many times do we ask God if he knows whats happening in our lives or rather if he cares whats happening in your lives. Lets face it life is just plain painful (sometimes). What I love about this scripture God acknowledges the pain and suffering we face. He sees our financial concerns. He recognizes what we think we lack. Yet, through his vision... he sees the entire picture. And the fact of the matter is we are richer than some of the richest people in this world! Its not the money, its not the fame, its not even the power. You must be saying, "well than what is it?" ... It is Christ. Everything we need is inside of him.
Ok, ok, ok... so life is hard, it hurts. Heres the beautiful part: theres a time period for the pain. God has a watch and it says "10 days" and no more. Once that time is complete our Lord is going to say to Satan, ok buddy your done. MY TURN. Time for justice. And that is the day, the time, I am waiting for. Are you?

The Truth as What Cost?

How strong is your commitment to truth? Are you willing to sacrifice your comfort for the sake of truth? How about your pride? Are you willing to be humbled by truth? Does the truth of God rule your life? If not, what does?
John Macarthur

Not allowed in your house!

If anyone comes to you + does not bring {sound} doctrine, do not receive him into your house nor greet him; for he who greets him shares in his evil deeds. - 2 John 10-11
"We are not to open our homes or even bestow verbal blessings on people who make a living twisting scripture + opposing the truth.
Our blessing on our enemies (Luke 6:27-28) must stop short of encouraging or assisting a false teacher who is corrupting the gospel."

Of His Dreams...

Good Morning everyone! Today was the first day of school. As I watched (+waved) my daughter off I prayed inside for her. Praying God would give her protection + guidance as she faces a new environment. I think I am more nervous than she is!!! but anyways....
I did not get up as early as I hoped for. However, as I came home sat down and opened one of my favorite devotionals: Gods purpose for every woman (a P31 Womens devotional). I was blown away by what the Lord spoke to my heart on devotion 165.
"It is my desire to be everything he dreams of too! If he wakes me up before the alarm with kisses, then I pray that God will give me the ability to be what he needs. I actually enjoy making his favorite meals, dressing the way he likes, + sharing the same interests + hobbies he does."
What I really loved about this particular devotion is that it speaks right to my heart about how we are to serve our husbands. We were created to be our husbands helpmeet. We are to serve, enjoy, + create a atmosphere where they have peace + rest. This is my goal. I want to find ways to be a virtuous wife (Proverbs 31:10).

Adopt a Proper Attitude

Adopt a proper attitude...
"Notice what he says in verse 1 of Chapter 10, "By the meekness +gentleness of Christ...." He is saying, this is my appeal to you in this environment, in this context. Those 2 things, "meekness," which is humility, and "gentleness" (or sweet reasonableness) should characterize the environment we do battle in. The character of our Lord, Paul says, should be reflected in us. And when you are in battle, you dont need to be bitter. In gentleness and meekness come humbly before God, saying, "theres a battle to be won, and I come dependently and graciously to you." Come in a proper attitude.

School Year + more....

Tomorrow is the beginning of a new school year. My princess enters the 4th grade. She is SO excited! As this season in our life begins, I am so peaceful about the beginning of school... not because of homework. No, no, no, I am excited because I can actually put my entire house on a manageable routine. Seems like we were all to willing to stay up late because, well, because, uh it was beautiful outside? No more excuses for me- I will be up tomorrow bright + early!
Oh, before I forget I will be posting our "new" daily schedule we will be following.
